Parents for sports activities are for children and parents who like sports or would like to try sports. Our project is about encouraging young children to develop a taste for sports, physical activities and to have fun.
If you would like to take part but are not sure of your child's interest in physical activities do not worry, your child can come along and observe at first and then decide if He/She would like to take part.
We organize activities that are safe and fun, and age appropriate. Parents are invited to take part and meet new people. The project benefits both children and parents by giving them an opportunity to spend time together outside the home, share skills and interests and learn new things Together.
People who are new to the community can come along and meet other parents and make new friends.
The project encourages parents/carers and children to be active and healthy. We try to plan most activities and sports outdoors but there are some indoors activities in the winter period.
Parents for sports aim to offer children and parent an opportunity to have fun and develop awareness of sports and physical activities. It helps children develop a positive sense of themselves and their ability thru sports and play. It helps children to make friends and enjoy sports. We encourage children to share and we show them the benefits of cooperation. These important skills enable children to share, cooperate, and have their needs met, communicate effectively, be happy and have fun.
We aim to support effort and encourage success; we help build self esteem and confidence by enabling children to gain confidence and feel secure and positive in their ability before trying the next step. We aim to show children and parents the positive benefits of being healthy and active.
The project aims to have a social impact in the community, it plans to bring children together and help parents that are new in the area to meet new people.
It intends to have an economic impact, since it is free for all, the activities are free for children and their parents.
